Dr. Ko Ching Lu

Dr. Ko Ching completed her clinical training at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, where she treated a wide range of conditions and patient populations. She also interned at the International Medicine Clinic at Harborview Medical Center, working with recent immigrants experiencing post‑traumatic stress disorder and chronic pain.

Driven by her passion for Chinese medicine, she continued her studies with intensive training at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and at Shu Guang Hospital, part of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During her time in China, she encountered many rare medical cases and learned diverse treatment approaches from experienced Chinese physicians.

Dr. Ko Ching specializes in musculoskeletal pain (neck, shoulder, and low back pain), chronic migraines, digestive disorders, emotional disorders, insomnia, prenatal and postnatal support, and women’s health. She is also trained in facial rejuvenation acupuncture, fire cupping therapy, moxibustion, e‑stim, tuning forks, and Tuina.

She tailors each treatment to the individual’s needs, incorporating dietary guidance and health education. She believes the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and that with the support of acupuncture and herbal medicine, the body can restore balance more efficiently.

Ko Ching is an acupuncture in-network provider for many insurance plans including Regence, Premera, Aetna, Kaiser, First Choice, AmBetter, Community Health Plan of WA, United. VA Community Care Network, LNI, and auto injury are also accepted.
